About

Ché Noir  is a Buffalo-born emcee and producer whose sharp lyricism, soul-infused production, and unflinching storytelling have made her one of the most respected voices in independent hip-hop today. Chè’s music transcends nostalgia offering powerful reflections on identity, trauma, growth, and resilience from a deeply personal lens.

A rare dual-threat, Chè writes, raps, and produces much of her own music, carefully crafting every detail of her sound and message. Over the years, she’s earned comparisons to legends while forging her own path collaborating with elite lyricists like Benny The Butcher and Black Thought, and steadily building a discography that blends classic sensibilities with fearless innovation.

In 2024, Chè reached a career milestone by collaborating with one of her longtime inspirations, Rapsody, on the powerful anthem "Black Girl" a standout from her self-produced album The Lotus Child. The song served as a celebration of Black womanhood and creative resilience, echoing themes that have long been central to Chè’s artistry.

2025 marked an explosive creative run. In March, she dropped Seeds in Babylon, a 10-track EP with German-Spanish producer Superior, created “strictly for the fans.” With no singles or major rollout, the project still made waves, earning a 9/10 from UndergroundHipHopBlog and spotlighting deeply personal tracks like Ivory (on anxiety and family pain) and Destiny Rose (on motherhood and emotional rebirth).

That momentum carried into the spring and summer with The Color Chocolate 2, a vibrant, hard-hitting follow-up to her earlier project. Lead singles Blink Twice and Who’s the Greatest? showcased her punchy delivery, vintage soul sampling, and unwavering lyrical precision.
